Pick up at Managua airport and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight in Managua

Departure from Managua and transfer to Sebaco (about 2 hours) where we stop for lunch in a local "comedor" where they prepare the typical dish of the area. Then we continue to Somoto (another two hours of travel) and we settle in the hotel.

Overnight in Somoto

Extraordinary experience traversing the narrow valley of Somoto Canyon where the Coco River flows between high rock walls. Part walking, part sailing on a small boat, and part tubing with large pool floats that we lay back on to glide into the calm waters of the Coco River. Participants can choose the short, medium or long tour. Lunch included.

Overnight in Somoto

Visit to Somoto, a characteristic village in northern Nicaragua where we discover the production of the "rosquillas" (local biscuits) and the church, a meeting point for the population; finally we meet some elders of the local community with whom we have a chat. We move to the wonderful lagoon of La Bruja, surrounded by nature, then we visit a cooperative of women belonging to the pre-Columbian Chorotega ethnic group, dedicated to the craftsmanship of pine wood.
