Central American Travelers makes your travel dreams come true! It is our passion to create travel experiences that you will never forget! Observing wild animals such as the hiding alligators, the colorful Guardabarranco, the cheeky monkeys, or the lazy sloth! Adventuring along the trails of the volcanoes, in the National parks or by the side of the river, or maybe just relaxing in the sun with a delicious cocktail. We are experts at creating tailor-made tours: from adventure to hiking vacations, rural tourism, diving holidays, and more!

As an inbound tour operator (DMC), CA Travelers offers not only the highlights of Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama but also those special moments along paths less known. Thanks to our local knowledge and a great team of experts in the countries we are basically your local guide.

The hotels we work with are selected with great care. We aim for high standard service and a warm welcome, supporting the small local hotels and their communities.

Our team is known for its ample knowledge and excellent customer service. They are at your disposal to offer you the best trip according to your needs. We can help you in English, Spanish, German, Italian, French or Dutch.

We are a member of the major chamber and organizations of Nicaragua and have operations license provided by the Nicaraguan Tourism Board (INTUR). CA TRAVELERS is proud to be part of and a firm believer of the «Code of conduct for the protection of children and teenagers from sexual exploitation in Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama».

Luca Centenero

Director & founder

Luca is from Italy and fell in love with Central America. After working in the corporate world of international law he moved to Nicaragua in 2012 and founded Central American Travelers together with Diego, seeing the high potential of Nicaragua and Costa Rica. Nicaragua has an amazing and yet not fully discovered charm. He himself enjoys traveling and discovering Central America with his Nicaraguan wife and his son. Being Italian at heart he knows exactly what our Italian clients are looking for. Feel free to ask him any question, especially if it is in Italian.

Diego Salinas

Co-founder and Finances

Diego is from Nicaragua and together with Luca founded Central American Travelers. Diego has a passion for numbers and makes sure that you get the best price at all times. He is in charge of the finances and makes sure everything is on track.

Sophie Klinnert

Sales & Product Management Germany

Sophie is from Germany and committed to showing the beauty of Nicaragua and Costa Rica to tourists from Europe, especially her fellows from Germany. Originally planning to stay one year she got taken in by Nicaragua’s charm and lived in Nicaragua for more than 6 years. Now she is living in Costa Rica and exploring tours for you here. Speaking four languages she will be happy to help you out with any questions you have. Traveling is one of her passions, so you can be sure that you will get the best recommendations from her! Merling Palacios

Reservations

Merling is from Nicaragua. She is in charge of the reservations and coordinating hotels, guides, and drivers. Without her, we would have a lot of chaos!

To achieve this we are always on the lookout for the best little boutique hotels, close to nature experiences, new adventures, and finding a way to include the local community by creating job opportunities.

How we achieve this? We personally love traveling, so we will be the first to test the experience and the hotels. And whilst living in these Central American Countries we create relationships with the people around us.

Our focus lies on creating off the beaten path trips, giving you that special holiday touch and making you feel good about your travel.
