Guna Yala, San Blas Islands

05:00 AM: Check-out from the hotel and wait for the authorized 4x4 vehicle (6 seats) for collective transportation with other tourists to Guna Yala. The waiting time may vary up to 30 minutes depending on the driver's route. Approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes (120 km) of which 80 km on the Panamericana highway and 40 km on a paved secondary road that crosses the mountain range. Km 18: Stop at the border crossing with Guna Yala for control of original passports (copies are not accepted) and payment of the entrance fee of USD 20.00 per person (in cash). Arrival at Tupile pier. Payment of the USD 2.00 per person maritime fee (in cash) and wait for the classic speedboat. Load people and luggage, departure and journey of approximately 25 minutes depending on weather conditions and sea swell. The travel methods to reach the islands may be uncomfortable for some people, therefore good tolerance is required for waiting and traveling by car and boat. Arrival at Isla Pelicano: Breathtaking panorama for lovers of pristine sea and adventure who want to experience a special experience in contact with the Guna Indian culture, the only inhabitants of the archipelago and a population where many ancient traditions still persist.

Stay at Isla Pelicano, indigenous name: Gorginega. The island was closed to the public for four years to protect the beach from erosion caused by the numerous boats that landed there every day. Relaxing on the white sand beach, swimming and snorkeling in the magnificent coral reef. Lunch based on fresh fish prepared by the Guna family. Dinner is served at tables surrounded by large palm leaves used to decorate the environment with simplicity and give the visitor the opportunity to live an unforgettable day. After the included tour to the natural pools and the islands of Armandub and Narasgadup, which enriches the experience in San Blas, the day continues waiting for the sunset when the sun will make its descent to the horizon with its intense colors. Waiting for dinner, always based on fresh fish and side dishes, served in a magical atmosphere with the light of candles placed in recycled plastic bottles. After dinner, guests gather around the bonfire while socializing and enjoying a pleasant shot of rum that they can purchase from the Guna family. The evening ends with traditional indigenous music and dances under the starry sky, an unforgettable experience!

Early in the morning, wake up to the sound of a cambombia, a large conch shell blown by the Guna experts that announces breakfast and the start of a new day in San Blas. Enjoy your journey with friendly people in this real paradise.

Breakfast and check-out of accommodation at 08:00 AM and return by boat to the pier on the mainland. Wait for the assigned 4x4 vehicle and return trip to the hotel in Panama City.
